The ASSOCIATION DE LA SOMMELLERIE INTERNATIONALE (ASI) was established in France in 1969. It is a non-profit international association of sommeliers. ASI is overseen by a President and a Board elected by the members of the General Assembly for a period of three years. Only two consecutive terms of presidency are allowed by the Bylaws.

The current president, William Wouters from Belgium, was elected in 2020. He is the 14th president of ASI. William and his team took over from Andrés Rosberg, Argentina.

The next election will take place in 2023.
