The Association of Italian Professional Sommeliers has taken several steps to reinforce the continuity of its work. This included the election of Giuseppe Vaccarini as president of the association and reelection of the grand majority of its board. One change: Ciro Laringe will now serve as the new Executive Vice President. The board of directors’s new mandate runs from 2019-2024.
“I very much appreciate the trust that the Council has confirmed towards me. It is a sign of the positive feedback of the work carried out in recent years and marks a clear position of continuity of ASPI with respect to the objectives we have set ourselves,” Giuseppe Vaccarini declared after the vote. The ASPI is tasked with coordinating initiatives throughout Italy to communicate and spread the culture of wine, beverages and food to the general public through their daily encounters with professional sommeliers.
