In late February, the board of the Polish Sommelier Association was named for a new two-year term, with Piotr Kamecki remaining the President, and Tomasz Koleckiy the Vice-President. PSA currently has over 250 members. It supervises ASI Diploma exams and organizes the Polish Sommelier Championship in May and the Young Sommeliers Cup in October of each year. The best Polish sommelier 2018, Kamil Wojtasiak, has been qualified for the next European Sommelier Championship, while Piotr Pietras, double Polish champion (2015 and 2016) took 6th place at the last Best Sommelier of the World competition in Antwerp. The PSA is also focusing on integrating young sommeliers into the profession and improving qualifications, notably by organizing many seminars and study tours to wine regions.
