ASI’s partner program has proven a fantastic platform for bringing working sommeliers and prestigious producers together to share stories. With sommeliers around the world obliged to stay home, these chances to meet face to face are limited this year.
The modern world has provided a good alternative. Two sets of ASI Gold Partner Panel Sessions will be held on May 18 and May 25, inviting all sommeliers from ASI member associations around the world to tune in online for a 45-minute moderated panel discussion.
The featured guests on May 18 will be Miguel Torres Maczassek from Familia Torres, Matthieu Perrin of Famille Perrin & Dominic Symington of Graham’s Port. Peer F. Holm, Coordinator of ASI’s PR, Communication & Marketing , and Euan Mackay, commercial director of Symington estates, will be moderating the discussion, which is expected to include a brief self-presentation by the different partners, a discussion of current and future perspectives from the world of wine and on how they understand their own relationship with the ASI and its sommeliers.
Please note that there will be TWO separate sessions with the same guests on May 18. These have been staggered in timing to allow guests from all corners of the world to tune in at a time convenient to them — the first session will begin at 9 am London time, the second at 10 am Los Angeles time.
A different group of ASI’s partners will be featured in the second masterclass on May 25th: Phil Crozier (Ambassador of Wines of Argentina), Martin Cortese (VP Corporate Business EMEA & UK at Trapiche), Stephane Vidal (Vice President Enology and strategic innovation at Vinventions) and Jean Pierre Durand (Global Marketing and Communication director at AdVini). Both dates are open to any and all sommeliers.
Please visit our website here to sign up for one of the sessions, which will be conducted as webinars using the Zoom platform. The webinars will also be streamed live through Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube and on ASI’s website.
