It was in front of a record crowd that Henrik Dahl Jahnsen won the 2019 Palmer Norwegian Sommelier Championship, after a set of tests that included wine pairings with Norwegian dishes, identifying a set of sweet wines, making cocktails and showing their knowledge of wine service and major appellations. Jahnsen, who will soon being a new job at the brand new Hotel Britannia in Trondheim, is now a four-time winner of the competition. Second place went to Simon Zimmermann, and third place to Francesco Marzola. The event also included an introductory competition for under-25 candidates, the Moët & Chandon Junior Wine Awards, won by Sander Johnsson.
