Mikaël Rodriguez is the new president of ASMA, Association des Sommeliers du Maroc, created in 2012 by Michèle Aström Chantôme. He was already the secretary general and therefore very involved in the current issues and projects of the association. After 8 years at La Mamounia, the famous palace of Marrakech elected several times Best Hotel of the World, as head sommelier and then Beverage Manager, Mikaël decided to create his own company of consulting, audit, creation of cellars. Trained at the Bordeaux-Talence Hotel School, he worked in London for 5 years and then managed a Champagne Bar in Paris before teaching the sommelier profession for several years at the EPMTTH. He remains in Morocco and will devote part of his time to the development and promotion of sommellerie in the Kingdom. Michèle will be the official ASMA delegate to the ASI.
