Interview

Q: How is the profession of sommelier viewed in your country?

Unfortunately the sommelier, like other professional figures, is seen as an economic burden for the company. In fact he or she is a figure of great importance that could help the company to better serve the needs of its customers.

Q: Why did you choose to become a sommelier?

I took my first steps at school in the world of wine thanks to multiple events and the ASPI course that finished this year. But remember, I must still wait until I graduate from school before I may practice my profession.

Q: You are a female student who won this competition in Italy. What were the reactions of the public and of your schoolmates?

The reactions were very colorful for everyone.

Q: Has this title already started to change your life?

I am sure that it will help me change it once I have received my school diploma.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

After graduating I will definitely go to work with the hope of being able to join a high-level institution that can give me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally.

Q: What is your message for the young sommelier generation?

To the new generations I would just like to send the message to always carry forward their passions and not to surrender to the challenges that life presents.
